The mobility of the future is under construction in Leipzig. The BMW Group is expanding its plant in Leipzig to make it the first location in Germany equipped to handle the large-scale production of zero-emission electric cars. In the period up to 2013, around €400 million will be invested at the plant in new buildings and machinery for the production of the Megacity Vehicle (MCV). Prior design features bodykits for both the E92 coupe and E90 sedan. The E92 coupe kit features an M-look with its M3 style front bumper and rear bumper, sidekirts, front fenders, and PD hood. The E90 sedan draws upon the E60 M5s look for the front bumper and a custom design sideskirt and rear bumper.

Here’s an update on the E30 Baja 1000 Rally car currently undergoing its build at 2010 SEMA. Baswell and his team have only two weeks until the Baja 1000 rally race but it looks like they are making good progress. The E30 rally racer has now received a new roll cage and suspension from Bilstein, as well as a complete subframe. The majority of the car will be built right at SEMA.
