Testing of the upcoming F32 4 Series coupe continues after the reveal of the 4 Series Coupe Concept and it has now advanced to FEP (Final Evaluation Phase) stage, as usually indicated by the sighting of a prototype in production colors.

After the great first look at the F32 production Sport Line model we posted last month, it almost seems we’re going backwards in terms of how revealing this test mule is. But, we also got very lucky with last months very revealing sighting.

BMW TwinPowerTurbo technology again takes two of Ward’s 2013 10 Best Engines Awards. The 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder (N20) and 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline-6 (N55) are both repeat winners.

The BMW Group and Boeing signed a collaboration agreement to participate in joint research for carbon fiber recycling as well as share manufacturing knowledge and explore automation opportunities.

Both the BMW Group and Boeing are pioneering the use of carbon fiber in their products. With the release of the BMW i3 in late 2013, followed later by the BMW i8, the BMW Group will bring two vehicles with a carbon passenger cell onto the market for the first time and Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner is made up of 50 percent carbon fiber material. Recycling composite material at point of use and at the end of the product life therefore is essential to both companies.

The just announced M6 Gran Coupe comes next summer to compete with the Mercedes CLS63 AMG. Until now, the CLS63 has really had no direct competition in terms of a car that closely matches its size, styling, performance, and segment.
