We recently brought you photos of the F30 3-series during winter testing, and here is a video of an F30 out making its round in the snow and cold. Seeing it in motion and from different distances really gives a great perspective into its shape and proportions (which looks great). The little bit of exhaust note we can hear also sounds pretty aggressive.
Here are the first official photos released of the 2011 BMW X5 LCI (facelift) model! Enjoy the set of photos, courtesy of Autobild.
Format67 can always be counted on for their stylish automotive videos. They have just released their Alpina B3 feature, which has stylized footage of a B3 exploring parts of Munich, Germany. Check it out.
Here is the latest artistic impression of the F30 from Germanys AutoBild magazine. As you can see this impression is highly BMW CS Concept car influenced.
After looking at these pictures, Scott26 had this to say:
That broken rear shoulder line actually has its roots in BMW history too most recently it was revived on the CS Concept Car.
it is coming to the 6er as it will on the 3er Coupe.
The 3er Coupe is likely to inherit the next direction taken with the 6er and offer two different models , one with a refined … CONTINUED
For 2011, along with the standard 3-series, BMW is going to be updating the M3 Coupe and Convertible as well. The most obvious different is the inclusion of the new LED tailights to the M3 while leaving the current design on the front of the car alone. IMO this is the perfect combination (hopefully a retrofit wont be too difficult).
Other changes which are not so obvious in these pictures are interior changes such as little updates on the trim pieces with updates to the iDrive system and screen.
Here are some exciting details on the upcoming BMW M1: More muscular appearance than regular 1-series, Trapezoid grille flanked by two intakes to allow extra brake cooling, Six piston brakes, High performance intercooler, Sportier looking headlights than standard 1-series, Small lip spoilers above brake duct inlets to provide extra air flow and downforce, The front wings of the car are massaged slightly to accomodate the wider track. Rear end is also wider. Standard 18″ 5-spoke wheels with optional 18″ Competition wheels (18″ will be the optimium wheel size for the M1), Signature M side vent, Broader wheel arches to accomodate larger track, “Ducktail” CSL style rear trunk (integrated spoiler), Rear valance/diffuser area takes its direction from the standard 135i but with open ducts for aerodynamic purpose, … CONTINUED

BMW has already confirmed that the BMW X3 (F25) will be all new for 2011. Additionally, production is to be moved to South Carolina in the newly expanded plant alongside the other X vehicles.
The car itself is built upon a shared platform with the next generation 3-series (F30) and since the X3 will be released before the next generation 3-series it will actually serve as a preview for the 3-series.
Benefiting from the 3-series lineage, the X3 will now come up to par with the rest of the BMW lineup and no longer considered a pariah in the BMW family. Technology, engines, chassis and quality will all be roundly improved as well as styling.
