A Lime Rock Park Edition E92 M3 Coupe and some friends hit the Cabot Trail on a recent weekend.
By M3POST member leemik:
A few of my car buddies decided to go on road trip to Nova Scotia this weekend and drive the Cabot Trail. We live in New England so the trip for me (I live south of Boston) to the trail and back would total about 2,100 miles. I drove my brand new Lime Rock M3 (just past 1st oil service) and it performed perfectly during the whole trip. All the cars on the run did as well. No major breakdowns and no problems what-so-ever from anyone. Since it was so many miles we had to plan several predetermined tier 1 gas station fill … CONTINUED

We’ve spotted the BMW M235i Coupe again and although it remains in the previous stage of camouflage (you’ve seen it revealed in the photos below anyway), this is our first ever look at the 2 Series Coupe versus its older brother to be, the 4 Series Coupe.
Next to the 435i, the M235i appears to be a bit taller. But, it’s clearly narrower and cuts a squatter figure than the sleeker and more stretched 435i coupe. Remember too, that the 2 Series prototype still wears some heavy camouflage on its hind quarters and rear, which gives its rear half a bulkier appearance than on the production model.
Although we don’t have an end-to-end look between the cars, the 2 Series Coupe will also be shorter in length … CONTINUED

The first 4 Series model has been revealed in the form of the 4 Series Coupe and it will eventually be joined by the Convertible and a 4 Series Gran Coupe (F36) variant.
The Coupe begins production this July, while the Convertible begins later this year in November. The 4 Series Gran Coupe will debut next year, with production possibly by late 2014 – early 2015.
With the reveal of the 4 Series Coupe, some digital artists have taken to photoshop for some new Gran Coupe renders. As you can see from the renders and spy photos below, the 4 Series Gran Coupe, like the 6 Series Gran Coupe, will be a 4-door version of the Coupe model and feature a … CONTINUED

Dyno shootout by Alekshop:
From the time Dinan and RD Sport each introduced their 4.6L stroker motors, it’s always been our dream to have a dyno shootout to see how they would match up against each other. Both companies make 4.6 liter stroker motors, but each took a slightly different approach in their design. Dinan chose to design a shorter stroke and bigger bore, while RD Sport chose to design a longer stroke and slightly smaller bore. The shorter stroke approach gives the Dinan stroker a 4608 cc displacement, and the longer stroke approach gives RD Sport a 4619 cc displacement. Practically speaking, both engines are the same displacement, but in theory the longer stroke of the RD engine should give it a torque advantage. We … CONTINUED
Our M5POST members recently discovered a string of videos by a Pkill617 on Youtube which featured him cold revving brand new BMWs coming through the Boston Autoport, where he was an employee until this story came to light.
He had a special penchant for M models and although he never drove or hooned the cars (at least not on video), he did like to rev them when completely cold.
He has since been let go from his job at the Boston Autoport for these actions.
