BMW has developed a Magnetic Tow Technology for use on UK model BMWs.

"The unique system, developed in conjunction with NASA, works via a discreet unit located in the front valance that projects an enhanced magnetic beam 20 metres in front of the BMW. Once a suitable target car is located and the BMW is magnetically locked on behind it, the driver is then able to take his foot off the accelerator, turn off the engine and let the car in front do all the work. … CONTINUED

i just got home. i am dead tired from being in hawaii all last week. i got back on fri night and got ready for the slo meet the following day. here some pics for you guys. i know there were more photographer. post them up guys.

As many of you may know, the owner’s manual for the new F01 7 Series BMW is on the iDrive and no paperback manual is provided. This seems like a very novel use of technology, although if your car battery dies you may have wished you had the booklet :)

2009 BMW Z4 U.S Pricing Released!

BMW North America has just released the U.S pricing for the new 2009 BMW Z4. As expected, there is a price increase over the previous Z4 generation, but still significantly lower than the German pricing.

The entry model, BMW Z4 sDrive30i has a base price of $46,575 and the twin-turbo powered sDrive35i jumps over the 50k mark, more specifically, $52, 475. Both prices include the Destination & Handling fee.

Here is the spec sheet for the M6 Competition Package for Canada. Only 10 are coming to Canada and none to the US.

The Competition Package is just a package that you can order but this is a fully loaded M6

Hamann announced that they now have a body kit to go with their tuning programme for the 2009 BMW 7 Series. Details are being kept under wraps for the moment except to say those tyres are running on 22-inch rims. Visually, components like a rear boot spoiler, a rear roof spoiler, four tailpipes and new side skirts can be spotted.
