BIMMERPOST will once again be sponsoring the next Shift-S3ctor Airstrip Attack, a 2 day event on November 10th and 11th at the New Coalinga Municipal Airport in Central California (3 hours north of LA, 2 hours south of the Bay area). This will be a 1/2 mile, side by side racing event. Registration opens on September 10th at 10:00 a.m., Pacific Standard Time. PP-Performance share with us their latest numbers achieved on their Project F10 M5. They have managed to achieve 639.7hp 824.7Nm on the 2013 M5 with the PP-Performance ECU software remap tune for the S63Tu engine, modified downpipes, mufflers by Manhart Racing, and GruppeM carbon fiber air intake system.

A hell of a ride: Liri Farfus gets a taste of the Nordschleife. As the wife of a BMW works driver you follow countless races closely, always hoping your husband puts in a great result, coming home without a scratch. However, Liri Farfus wanted to experience a lap of the Nordschleife by herself - and joined Augusto as a co-driver in the “Green Hell”.

The 2013 3 Series Touring (F31) officially launched into European markets and hit dealerships this past weekend. The F31 touring will arrive at US / Canadian dealerships in Spring 2013.

Unfortunate news for the BMW world. One of BMW’s prototype test drivers was killed a few days ago on September 21 on the A92 highway near BMW”s Dingolfing plant.

He was in high speed testing of the F30 3 series hybrid and passing a series of tractor trailer trucks when a truck entered into the test driver’s lane. The driver swerved to avoid the truck and crash into the rear of a truck. The driver was killed instantly.

Our condolences go out to the driver’s family.
