Well, there is no end to the photoshops of the upcoming M5 that have been bubbling to the surface. The general notion is that the cars line will follow the E90/E92 M3 front bumper however it will be significantly more angular (think X5/X6 M) and obviously wider to fill out the larger 5-Series based body

Here is the latest artistic impression of the F30 from Germanys AutoBild magazine. As you can see this impression is highly BMW CS Concept car influenced.

After looking at these pictures, Scott26 had this to say:

Quote:

That broken rear shoulder line actually has its roots in BMW history too most recently it was revived on the CS Concept Car.

it is coming to the 6er as it will on the 3er Coupe.

The 3er Coupe is likely to inherit the next direction taken with the 6er and offer two different models , one with a refined … CONTINUED

Here you see a rendering of the upcoming BMW M1 from Autozeitung magazine. According to BMW marketing insider Scott26, “The look is very close to the aerodynamic pack that adorns the M1″ (minus the metallic crossbars). The magazine also mentions that the M1 will go on sale in Summer 2011, with 355 bhp, 0-60 mph under 5 seconds, and M3 suspension!

The concept M1 is expected at the Geneva Auto Show.

This F10 M5 photoshop was posted by BMW insider Scott as he mentioned that the F10 M5 photoshops floating around have all relied too much on the M3s looks. Instead, its suggested that we look to the X5M/X6Ms "sharper" looks for the upcoming M5 and M1s design. We take this to mean that the M5s bumper will be more aggressive as in this image, rather than the M3-like bumper seen in most M5 photoshops.

The rear valence and diffuser on the new M5 is also said to be more sculptured than the M3-like bumper seen in M5 photoshops.

Here is a very insightful post by BMW insider Scott26/27 who mentions that an iS version of the X3 is definitly fair game, especially in the USA where such a model could find itself in some demand.

Quote:

BMW have high hopes for this Sport Activity Vehicle that the design department are working on a iS Specification model with an Aerodynamic pack reminiscent of the new Z4 iS. The front bumper in the Autoweek design is what you will see in the actual car but for the iS the openings at the brake ducts are more open and feature the bar across the intake. The rear … CONTINUED

There is certainly no lack of spy photos when it comes to the F11 (touring) version of the upcoming 5-series. link1, link2, link3, link4, link5, link6. (See what I mean!). Combining the knowledge of what we know the sedan to look like wth these barely covered up test mules, the people at spyshots.nl have come up with fairly accurate renderings of what the car will look like.

Just to recap, the F11 touring is due to be be officially release in the late summer/fall of 2010, just a short few months after the 5-Series sedan has its time under the limelight.

First and foremost. The photos are only renderings based on what the magazine believes the car will look like. (If you want to see what the car will likely look like, our collection of spy photos are here: http://www.bimmerpost.com/?s=f10+m5&…bimmerpost.com. The most revealed of the spyphoto sets is this one: http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=303014).

But on to the guts of the story. The car itself is destined to arrive in late 2010/2011 as a 2011 model. CAR magazine expects that the car will have:

4.4-litre V8 bi-turbo
578bhp, 530lb ft
155mph limited top speed
0-62mph 4.4sec
Unlimited top speed 188mph

The 4.4l V8 M engine would be the … CONTINUED
