Autobild has pitted the M3 GTS against the 911 GT3-RS, arguably one of the best handling street cars currently available. According to the test’s scoring system, the M3 GTS took second, but by a mere 5 points (out of 300 total). The V8 biturbo 550i (F10) notched a 1st place win against the E500, Audi S6, and Jaguar XF in Autobild’s latest issue. The impressive 400+hp 550i rocketed from 0-100km/h in 5.0 seconds and 0-200km/h in 16.7 seconds (close to the M3).
Many feel that the spirit of the E46 M3 lives on in the 135i, so the two cars are often compared. 1addicts member PKumarM3, longtime owner of a track prepped E46 M3, recently shared why he feels the 135i not only matches but exceeds a stock E46 M3.

BMW 1M Coupe first ride reports keep flowing in, this time from Autocar UK, which calls this a truly exciting car which feels every bit as agile as the standard M3 (at least from the passenger’s seat). Autocar reports that the 1M will be approximately 350bhp, with 6 speed manual and 7 speed DCT options, and will be lighter than the 135i.
Fifth Gear reviews the F10 535i, with a focus on the F10′s technology – namely the surround view/park assistant, ConnectedDrive, and 4-wheel steering. As for the 535′s overall performance, it’s called fantastic and silky smooth with a fabulous chassis. Overall, they feel that the car is brilliant and the best mid-exec car money can buy.
