Here’s one of the first reviews of the BMW 335i Performance Edition Retrofit Kit, which is a factory tune which retains the factory warranty. Horsepower increase from 300 to 320, torque increase from 300 to 317ft-lbs for a manual transmission, and to 332 for automatic transmission. This all results in 0.2 seconds faster acceleration time than the standard factory model from 80 to 100 km/h and 0.5 seconds faster acceleration time than the standard factory model from 80 to 120km/h. Autoblog comes in with their first drive reaction to the 2012 Z4 sDrive28i, the first late model BMW to bring the 4-cylinder motor back to the US market. The N20 motor makes 240 hp / 260 lb-ft tq in the Z4, with a 7,000 rpm redline. Compared to the N52 inline 6 that it replaces, the Z4′s N20 has 15 less horsepowers but 40lb-ft more torque.
