In AutoBild’s latest issue they have a nice photo spread on BMW’s new M100 sports car. There will be even a “green” model called the “BMW i100 Coupe ActiveHybrid”.

The M100 will compete with Audi’s R8 V10 and MB’s SLS. AutoBild reports that BMW will show the M100 at the 2011 IAA (Frankfurt Auto Show). Production will start two years later, in 2013. The car will cost MORE than 100,000 euros. The magazine says the M100 will cost a good 170K euros! Planned production numbers are 35,000 units over five year product life. 450 PS (Hp) and a little as 3L per 100kph (86 mpg!) with the i100 model.

The M100 is known internally to BMW as “Project 442”. The M100 is just a part of … CONTINUED

We bring you the most revealing F10 M5 photos yet. Save for some camouflage tape, the M5 front fascia design can be clearly seen. We last saw the M5s exposed bumper back in May, but not in this detail and not this exposed.

Compared to the standard F10 5-series, the F10 M5 front bumper is clearly more sculpted and angular, and features the trapezoidal design as seen on the current M3. Huge side air inlets flank the center trapezoid grill. The wheels are still the BBS FI wheels weve previously seen, but which are purely for testing. The more recent wheel design weve seen were recently posted, and are closer to the X6M wheels in … CONTINUED

Seen here is the most recent sighting of the upcoming 2012 1-series hatchback undergoing testing in southern Europe. The dual split exhausts out back hints at a turbo engine. It could be the rumored Tri-Turbo Petrol 4 cylinder engine, or perhaps the N54 6-cylinder twin-scroll turbo motor. The split exhausts, the extra cooling ducts up front in the camouflage, larger wheels, and what appears to be large brakes, all point to this potentially being a range topping F20 1-series.

The last sighting of a turbo F20 1-series was nearly 10 months ago.

This information is from BMW insider Scott26. According to him, on the heels of the BMW X6s success, they have been investigating downsizing the range and bringing the Sport Activity Coupe idea to the X3 range but with a bit more functional flair added and BMW would use the term Sport Activity Sedan. Such a car would likely be dubbed the X4. Internally, the car is known as the X-Style. The same ideas that went into the X6 would be translated to the X4, namely a more sloping and sleek roofline as well as bulging fenders giving the car a wider and lower look compared to its X3 counterpart. The car would also get a two way hatch similar to the … CONTINUED
