The last time we posted photos of the FWD 1 Series GT in testing, it was nearly a year before the debut of the BMW Concept Active Tourer [official info] at the recent 2012 Paris auto show.
Here, we see it with less camouflage than ever and although some fairly heavy and tricky camouflage remains, one can look to the concept model [photos below] for a very good idea of what the production model will look like. BMW has a strong track record of keeping production … CONTINUED
The F11 Touring LCI facelift has now been spotted. This particular prototype is equipped with the xenon headlight option which retains the circular angel eyes/corona rings. The LED headlight option (previously spotted on the gray F10 5 Series sedan prototype) will feature the new squared off angel eyes.
We have information which shows production for the F10 LCI as beginning in July 2013, with deliveries starting in August/September of 2013.
The prototype F10 LCI shows slightly sportier side mirrors, with integrated turn signals (still camouflaged). The grey … CONTINUED
The F80 M3 is continuing its development at the Nurburgring and we’ve captured it on video once again. We’ve also compiled our recent F80 M3 and F82 M4 videos below.
As we’ve seen before, the F80 M3 continues to exhibit a planted ride and suspension, flying around the track with little body roll.
For our latest M3/M4 details and coverage see: http://www.bimmerpost.com/m3/f30m3/
The F30 Alpina B3 continues testing and we’ve spotted it at the Nurburgring (spied at BMW’s Nurburgring test center).
The F30 B3 test mules (based on the F30 335i) we’ve seen so far provide a good preview of the external styling to expect on the F30 B3, with its Alpina front lip spoiler, aggressive trunk spoiler, quad exhaust, and of course Alpina wheels. It appears that Alpina has now changed the front lip spoiler design from its original preview render. The production version is likely to … CONTINUED

UPDATE 10/17: Better spy photos of the F10 LCI prototype now show a new squared off angel eyes (coronal lights) shape, which has started to appear on BMWs beginning with the latest 3 Series, 6 Series, and 7 Series. Also, the new front bumper will feature BMW’s air curtain vents.

We’ve just spied the X3 LCI (Life Cycle Impulse, AKA “facelift) prototype for the first time. As seen on the mule, the X3 LCI will receive an update front and rear bumper, side mirrors, and headlights, as has been the pattern for recent BMW LCI models.
The headlight shape does not appear to be changing, but we may see updated lighting elements within the headlights, as we did with the recent 7 Series LCI. We do not anticipate that the headlights will be connected with the … CONTINUED
We bring you the first ever look at the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe prototype in live action – from a recent test session on the Nurburgring track.
This is the first we’ve seen of the prototype on the Ring, as well as being fitted with M Sport Brakes.
As always, don’t worry about the headlights and tail lights of the prototypes at this stage of testing. They are merely fakes for testing purposes. Expect the 4GC to share the lights with the rest of the upcoming 4 … CONTINUED
Have a peek at the first completely uncovered 2014 M6 Gran Coupe, captured by a daring photographer in a BMW factory. It may only be a side view, but there’s no doubt this is the M6 Gran Coupe.
Its blue M brakes (a new M signature going forward), sideskirts, and mirrors are all evidence this is the M6 Gran Coupe.
What is also seen for the first time on this car are the production wheels, a completely new BMW wheel design.
We’ve captured the next generation X5 M prototype on video for the first time and despite all its camouflage and cladding, still impresses with its furious sounds on the Nurbrugring test track. Have a look and listen inside.
