BMW has released full U.S. pricing for all F10 5-series models and options, including M-sport package price and details. See inside for 528i, 535i, 535i xDrive, 550i, and 550i xDrive, options, and package pricing.
BMW has announced the F10 5-series sedan and F11 touring M Sport package available starting this September. There are also new BMW Individual options which will become available for the F10 and F11 5-series this Autumn.
Unsatisfied with the tamer look and sound of the factory split dual exhausts of the 2011 535i, 5POST member Lacster has gone the aftermarket route and replaced the stock exhausts with a quad tipped exhaust producing a more aggressive sound and look.
Japanese tuner 3D Design has released its F10 5-series. Upgrade parts include a front lip spoiler, rear trunk spoiler, roof spoiler, black grills, rear diffuser, and 20″ forged wheels. Quad tip sport exhaust system is also available for the 550i and 535i.
The 2011 F10 5-series is available with BMW new Night Vision option, part of BMW ConnectedDrive, allowing F10 owners to see objects in the dark up to 900 feet ahead of the vehicle. This is the first video we have seen of it in action in the F10 and it’s pretty slick.

BMW has issued a recall for 2010 and 2011 5-series and 5-series GT models for a faulty fuel sensor which may result in inaccurate fuel levels. Some of our F10 sedan owners have also been reported being contacted about a fuel sensor recall or having their cars held at VPC for the replacement. F10 owners should make sure to check with your dealers.
Fifth Gear reviews the F10 535i, with a focus on the F10′s technology – namely the surround view/park assistant, ConnectedDrive, and 4-wheel steering. As for the 535′s overall performance, it’s called fantastic and silky smooth with a fabulous chassis. Overall, they feel that the car is brilliant and the best mid-exec car money can buy.

The German Red Cross recently introduced its F10 525d for “Emergency Doctors.” We are not sure if this car is a one-off for promotional purposes only, or if the F10 5-series will actually be put into widespread duty for the German Red Cross. If the latter, we are jealous of German Red Cross doctors!
5POST member Lacster’s 535i has received a proper professional photoshoot, courtesy of resident photo guru Jzhang. This is the most modified F10 we have witnessed so far and the tasteful modifications combine for a more aggressive, yet classy F10. Modifications include lowering springs, blackout grills, CF trunk lid spoiler, aftermarket wheels, painted reflectors and vinyl trim, and tint. Check out the photos inside!

We generally frown upon street racing, but once in a while even we can’t help but be impressed by a certain video. This one features a stock F10 550i easily taking a modified Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 from a dig. SRT8′s are no slouches, especially in acceleration, so this speaks volumes for the 550i V8 4.4L Twin Turbo engine.
The popularity of the of the 2011 5-series is very apparent so far. BMW AG has sold out of all current 5-series stock in all markets and new customers are waiting 3-4 months for deliveries. This report by BMW is supported by Yahoo Auto’s recent analysis of the hardest cars to get a hold of in the U.S.
