The BMW F10 M5 ring taxi started testing this week upon the opening of the Nurburgring testing season and we’ve now spotted not just one, but twin M5 ring taxis making their rounds on the Nurburgring, presumably for some final tweaking and evaluation. See some footage of the ring taxis inside.

The famous E60 M5 Ring Taxi was retired at the end of the 2010 season, with the E90 M3 Ring Taxi taking over duties for 2011. With the introduction of the all new M5 (F10) however, it looks the mighty M5 will again resume its Ring Taxi duties for the upcoming year/season.
Seen here for the first time is the F10 M5 Ring Taxi hitting the ring wearing its Ring Taxi uniform - in white with M stripes and Ring Taxi decals. It underwent many laps of hard testing runs on one of the first days of the 2012 Nurburgring testing season and it appears ready to begin taking passengers when the ride season begins.

Why has BMW Canada released this guide before BMW USA? Canada is actually receiving the F10 M5 before the US, with a certain limited allocations of 2012 model year M5s available (March 2012 build for April delivery).
BMW Australia recently had its 2012 M5 F10 press launch (although one of our Australian members has already taken delivery delivery) and have released this video showing some track footage from the event.
AC Schnitzer has revealed its ACS5 M5 Tuning Package ahead of its debut at the 2012 Geneva Motorshow next week. The ACS5 package features both cosmetic and performance enhancements.
The F10 M5’s already potent S63Tu motor receives a power increase (via ECU tune) to 620hp / 790Nm (582lb-ft) torque. The growl coming from the M5 is enhanced via the AC Schnitzer twin sports silencer with valve control, with its chrome tailpipes.
The M5 is lowered on AC Schnitzer suspension spring kit and wheel options are the Type VIII racing and forged alloy rims in 21 inch, Type V forged alloy wheels in 20 inch and Type IV BiColor rims in the same size.
