A site member brings us the first photos of a completely revealed silverstone F10 M5. So far, the M5 has only been shown in production form in the Monte Carlo Blue color.

What most folks have not realized so far are the extensive modifications BMW has made to the F10 M5 engine. We point those out for you below, referencing BMW’s released info. Compared to the S85 engine of the E60 M5, BMW claims that “VALVETRONIC has also sharpened the responsiveness of this engine [S63Tü].

Here are the highlights of the new M5’s S63Tu engine and how it’s different from the S63 engine used for the X5 M and X6 M.

Two more innovations of the S63Tü:

- Innovative solenoid valve injectors in the new BMW M5 engine use multiple injections to achieve an extremely precise mixture preparation.

- VALVETRONIC
This is the biggest difference. As BMW puts it:

The new 2012 BMW M5 will be priced at EUR 102,700 in Germany. For comparison, the last price for the E60 M5 (Sep 2010) was EUR 94,700 which means a price increase of roughly 8.5%.

Earlier this week, BMW announced the price for the UK at £73,040 for UK buyers. The last UK price for the E60 M5 was £67,300 which also tranlsates to a price increase of 8.5%.

Applying the same increase of 8.5% to the last US price (2010 M5) of $85,700, the new BMW M5 would be priced at $93,000 for the US.

BMW has published official photos and information on the new BMW M5 (F10) last week, and today we’re happy to share the very first video of the fully unveiled production M5 in action! Check it out inside.

The first pricing for the F10 M5 is in - for the UK. The 2012 M5 will be priced at £73,040 for UK buyers. At current conversion rates, this is approximately $118,306 US Dollars. Keep in mind however that the new M5 will be priced lower in the US. To give you a basis of comparison - the 2008 E60 M5 cost £65,890 in the UK, while costing $82,900 for the US.

Of course currency rates were different in 2008 than now, but using the same UK-US price ratio difference (~25%) from the 2008 model, the 2012 M5 would cost $91,895 in the US.

The online visualizer for the F10 M5 has been online since Thursday, and the German F10 M5 Catalog is now available for download. Together they reveals the range of exterior and interior color options, as well as visual previews of the colors. We list them (and provide some examples) inside.
