We have posted even more photos of the latest 2014 M3 (F80) sedan prototype to be spotted, which shows a more aggressive hood with power dome/bulge.
We’ve just spied this afternoon this F80 M3 sedan prototype showing a power dome / hood bulge for the first time. The M3 may have now entered the FEP (Final Evaluation Phase) stage of testing. Until now some M enthusiasts have been disappointed to see the lack of a power dome on previous prototypes, but this mule confirms that the F80 M3 and F82 M4 will feature an aggressively shaped hood.
The rest of the camouflage remains as concealing as on prior mules. As seen clearly, the … CONTINUED
Here are some renders put together by site member E92Alpine328i (Jerry).
M4 COUPE (F82)
The F82 M4 coupe render will prove to be the more accurate of the two. Most accurate is the M6 style bumper, which BMW insider Scott26 has recently said (and sketched) to be the styling to expect for the M4 coupe. The F32 4 Series coupe and F82 M4 coupe are expected to feature similar headlights to the F30 3 series, but should be sleeker/slimmer. Their kidney grilles will be also be … CONTINUED
We brought you the first photos of the 2015 M4 Coupe prototype earlier today, now have a first live look and listen at the prototype in action on the Nurburgring.
What you’re seeing and hearing is the F80 M3 / F82 M4′s anticipated inline 6 cylinder engine with multiple turbochargers, pushing approximately 450 horsepowers. The engine has been rumored to be an extensively reworked and reinforced N55 6-cylinder engine with a strengthened aluminium block with a heavily modified cylinder head. The Induction technology is said to be … CONTINUED
We’ve heard rumblings in the past weeks that the F82 M4 coupe had begun its public testing rounds and our spies have now spotted it for the very first time!
The prototype wears the typical heavy camouflage of early stage mules, but there’s plenty to analyze. There’s little doubt this is the M version of the upcoming 4 Series coupe. There are the signature M quad exhausts, the flared fenders, signature blue M brakes, wide tires, and M6 steering wheel.
Both the front and rear fenders on the … CONTINUED
New photos of the mystery shrouded BMW model spotted at the BMW Museum shows that it is indeed a coupe shape, ruling out the possibility that it is the F80 M3 sedan. However, new info and clues provide some guidance on what it may be.
The car is confirmed to have quad exhausts, which confirms that it’s an M model. We can think of two upcoming M models expected in the next 2-3 years bearing the shape and size suggested by the photos – the F82 M4 … CONTINUED
A mystery BMW model appeared at the BMW Museum a bit over a month ago, shrouded under a big blue tarp. It’s yet to be positively identified, but could this possibly be the next generation F80 M3 sedan or F82 M4 coupe?
There’s not much to go off of by way of the sparse photos, but the one part of the car that can be partially seen – the wheels, happen to match the wheels that have been spotted on the F80 M3 sedan prototypes from our … CONTINUED
Someone at BMW M HQ in Garching has been gabbing and has let on to Bimmerfile that the next generation 2014 F80 M3 may be getting electric power steering instead of the hydraulic power steering that M cars have always been equipped with (even with the latest M5 and M5).
Porsche’s new 911 991 is equipped with EPS which has been praised, which likely gives manufacturers such as BMW hope that a sporty EPS system can be developed for their most sporty cars – the … CONTINUED
We can finally confirm that the next generation M3 (F80 / F82) will be powered by an inline 6 cylinder engine. We spoke to the President of BMW North America, Mr. Ludwig Willisch, at the ongoing M6 convertible / 6 Gran Coupe US press launch and he has officially confirmed that the next generation M3′s engine will indeed feature an inline 6 layout and not a V6.
Until now, there has been no official confirmation (nor denial) from BMW on whether the F80 sedan and F82 coupe’s … CONTINUED
Now that the new M6 coupe/convertible and M5 have all debuted, our thoughts often turn to the next M3 – the F80. And although we’ve previously rendered the F80, here is our take on what the next generation M3 may resemble now that the M6 has been revealed. So far, the multitude of F80 M3 spy photos / videos we’ve posted have not been very telling in terms of the lower front bumper design, but we’ve used our imagination based on the new M6 and M5 … CONTINUED
