Here’s some great news for the 3 series touring fans in the US – the US market will receive the F31 3 series touring! BMW’s decision to bring the 5 Series GT to the US and nip the F11 5 series touring in return had us all a bit worried whether the 3 series touring to be unveiled later this year would share a similar fate.

From a dealer presentation event for BMW Performance Parts come the first views of the BMW Performance parts for the F30 3 series. Both the M Sport and non-M Sport accessories are seen here.
Parts we can see include carbon fiber splitters, carbon fiber front lip, gloss kidney grilles, 19″ wheels, performance racing stripes, and painted rear bumper diffuser.
On the standard F30, you can see the BMW Performance sideskirts and gloss black wheels with red pinstripes.

Here’s another highlight of the 2012 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), the Active Hybrid 3.
Seen here in Modern Line configuration, the Active Hybrid 3 combines BMW’s smooth 3.0l N55 inline 6 and an electric motor for a maximun output of 335hp and 450Nm. We’re here live at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show (NAIAS) where the star of the BMW display this year, the 2012 BMW 3 Series Sedan (F30), has just made its North American debut.
On display so far is a base model (no lines) F30 328i in arctic silver, a 335i luxury line, and a 328i sport line. We’re told that the M Sport will be hitting the floor a bit later so we’ll try to snag some photos when it makes its appearance.

Here is a BMW 328i (F30) video review by Autoblog.nl. It may not be in english, but there is English captions/translations throughout the video. Includes some nice driving action and even a decent smokey burnout from the 4-cylinder (N20) equipped 328i.
Overall, they are impressed with the vehicle (no surprise) and echo the praises of most other reviews.
Less than a week away from its US debut at the 2012 Detroit NAIAS, the F30 sightings have increased. Spotted on the streets of Germany is this alpine white base F30 and at the BMWNA HQ in New Jersey was a sport line F30 in red.
Here is the first BMW F30 3 series TV commercial released. With BMW as the official vehicle sponsor of this summer’s London Olympics, the ad’s message is that the world’s class athletes’ performance, balance, agility, and control are shared by the all new F30 3 series.
As the full German F30 catalogue has been published, we can now share more details of the much-anticipated F30 M Sport Package.
First off, the M Sport Package is supposed to be available from July 2012 on (worldwide). That’s in line with our previous estimate as production of the model year 2012 F30 will end in June 2012 and model year 2013 beginning in July 2012.
