BMW today announced an enhanced performance version of the 1 Series Coupe and Convertible called the BMW 135is. The 2013 135is Coupe and Convertible focus the qualities that made the 135i such a success amongst driving enthusiasts – with more performance, enhanced sound and dynamic design details. Both the new 135is Coupe and Convertible are scheduled to arrive in BMW Center showrooms this fall with retail pricing set at $44,145 and $48,845 respectively (including $895 destination and handling).

We bring confirmation of the 1 series M coupe’s power numbers! Seen here is a screenshot of upcoming BMW motors, including the 1M coupe’s 340hp motor, and a potential 451hp motor for a US version (or more likely, the next gen F30/F32 M3)!
Insideline reports that there is no BMW M1 coming. This comes after the nonappearance of the M1 concept at the 2010 Geneva Motorshow, at which it was expected. Instead there will be a hopped up 135is version of the 1-series. But, BMW insider Scott26 maintains that the M1 is coming. Who really knows? Nobody but Rumplestiltskin!
