Certainly BMW shows this car off soon, until then the photoshoppers will fill the void and give us wonderful takes on what the car could look like. Here is one based on the few leaked details we know about this car thus far.
What you are seeing here is the clearest teaser yet of the BMW M1 concept which is widely speculated to be making its debut at the 2010 Geneva auto show in just over a week’s time. Wide rear fenders appear on the M1 concept, as well what could be a vent or diffuser behind the rear fenders.
The upcoming BMW M1 will feature an impressive options personalization program for many cosmetic additions. Mentioned items include a full range of carbon fiber exterior parts. M-stripes on exterior (in different colors and placements). 18″ competition wheels in two different finishes. Multiple matte exterior colors and the return of Techno Violet !
Here is a render of the upcoming BMW M1 by a 1addicts member. Although it’s missing certain elements we’re sure to see on the M1, this render gives some preview as to how the car will look with aggressive M-style front bumper, front fender gill, carbon fiber roof, and wheels.
Here are some new higher resolution pictures of the very same BMW M1 mule that has been spotted before. We can clearly see the temporary rear wheel arches affixed to accomodate the testing of a wider track. The production M1 body will sport actual broader flared arches to fit the widened rear track.

Here you see a rendering of the upcoming BMW M1 from Autozeitung magazine. According to BMW marketing insider Scott26, “The look is very close to the aerodynamic pack that adorns the M1″ (minus the metallic crossbars). The magazine also mentions that the M1 will go on sale in Summer 2011, with 355 bhp, 0-60 mph under 5 seconds, and M3 suspension!
The concept M1 is expected at the Geneva Auto Show.
The first teaser image of the upcoming BMW M1 has surfaced on 1addicts! The small image shows a beefy front bumper sculpted in latest M-style, with huge air inlets for engine and brake cooling. Car Magazine has published pictures of the M1 undergoing cold weather testing in Scandinavia. While the guys at Car Magazine are assuming that this is a mule for the next gen 1-series coupe (F2x), its safe to say this actually is an M1 prototype. Why?
