1addicts member and photographer TOMiRRi has an affinity for shooting the BMW 1M apparently as this is his second photo shoot (he previously photographed a black 1M). He only needs to shoot an Alpine White 1M in order to complete the trifecta, and we look forward to seeing that.
And yet another great 1M delivery experience, this time at the BMW Performance Center. 1addicts member carchrism5 shares his 1M journey with us - from ordering to the PCD finale. Experience it vicariously through his images and words inside.

These are the results many have been waiting for. Sportauto has just released their much anticipated Supertest of the 1-series M Coupe. The outcome: An amazing Hockenheim track time, a solid result at the Nürburgring and (mostly) praises from the reviewer, Horst von Saurma.
An earlier Sportauto review already mentioned the 1M’s amazing performance at Hockenheim of 1:14.1, which is not only 7 tenths of a second faster than the Audi TT-RS and 1.3 seconds faster than the RS 3 but also faster than any E9x M3 ever tested by Sportauto.
At the Nürburgring things were a bit different though. The 1M did pretty well and had the lap done in 8 minutes 15 seconds, thus beating the 987.5 Porsche Cayman S by 2 seconds and the Audi … CONTINUED
Top Gear comes in with its in-depth comparison review of the BMW 1M coupe versus the Audi RS3, perhaps its most direct rival and competitor.
This past saturday, the German Tuner magazine Sport Auto held their annual Tuner GP at Hockenheim Grand Prix raceway. This yearly event pits tuners from all over Europe against each other to see who is the best for bragging rights and with the victory comes added exposure for those shops in the winners circle. The TechTec BMW 1M coupe with its Akrapovic prototype exhaust, KW suspension, and 443hp, took 3rd place in the competition, behind a Lotus Exige and supercharged E46 M3.

We’d like to make clear that the previous announcement of the 1M coupe’s end of production in December 2011 is specific for the US market. The production schedule we refer to for such info is US-market specific. Whether the 1M remains in production beyond that for the other markets remains to be seen.
According to the official BMW model production schedule (attached below), the 1M coupe will end production in December 2011, making a total production run of 10 months. The chart also indicates that there will not be a second (2012) model year. If recent speculations comes to fruition, the successor to the 1M coupe will be the BMW M2 Coupe, as BMW will switch the next generation small BMW coupe to the 2-series badge.
