Site member and renowned driver Advevo shows how much driving skill equalizes the power and performance difference between cars. The 1M is no slouch but on paper it gives up much to the lightweight M3 GTS, but Advevo manages to keep it a very close race on this Nurbrugring lap.
This lap by Advevo in his 1M was completed in just 7.45, an impressive task in and of itself.

This is from a Southern California 1ADDICTS meet where no less than 20 1M coupes gathered this past weekend for a meet & greet. The first 1M + 1-series 1addicts Family get together in Australia was held in Sydney, Australia recently at the Dose Espresso cafe on the Northshore. A good turnout from the local and not so local BMW community.

Check out this first matte finished BMW 1M coupe! It’s been wrapped in a matte gray Lamborghini color and the wheels have been sprayed Nogaro Silver for a darker gunmetal effect to match the new gray color of the car.

We’d like to make clear that the previous announcement of the 1M coupe’s end of production in December 2011 is specific for the US market. The production schedule we refer to for such info is US-market specific. Whether the 1M remains in production beyond that for the other markets remains to be seen.
According to the official BMW model production schedule (attached below), the 1M coupe will end production in December 2011, making a total production run of 10 months. The chart also indicates that there will not be a second (2012) model year. If recent speculations comes to fruition, the successor to the 1M coupe will be the BMW M2 Coupe, as BMW will switch the next generation small BMW coupe to the 2-series badge.
