Congrats to BIMMERPOST member mntbiker for being our first member to take Performance Center Delivery for a 4 Series coupe. Here is his delivery journal:
I just got back from an awesome weekend at the Performance Center in SC and a day of driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway. My wife and I drove down to Greenville, SC on Thursday evening for our Friday delivery date. We dropped off a rental car at the airport and the hotel picked us up in a nice 750Li. We then had a fantastic dinner at the hotel and went to bed early. On Friday morning we had breakfast at the hotel and took a shuttle to the Performance Center.
The day started early at 8AM and we … CONTINUED

“It’s a two-door 3 Series, a variant with a very light refresh,” declared Evans during Saturday morning’s welcome walk-around by way of questioning the 4 Series’ legitimacy as a contender. But by Sunday night, the 428i and 435i had proven themselves to be much more. Theodore proclaimed the 4 “the first BMW I’d consider buying in a long time,” citing its smoother, better-balanced handling and greatly improved interior relative to the 3 Series. Lieberman lauded upgrades to the 3′s “bouncy suspension and paint-shaker start/stop system.” And of the widened, lowered bodywork, design guru Gale said, “If I had to … CONTINUED
This 4 Series Convertible (F33) was spotted in the US (New Jersey), one of the first fully revealed models we have seen.
What’s interesting about this particular car is that it’s a Modern Line 4 Series Convertible (unavailable for the U.S.), as well as sporting an M Sport steering wheel, M shift knob and manual transmission. The U.S. 4 Series convertible has not been announced as being available with manual transmission. See official 4 Series convertible details inside.

The story started with a Facebook post from Debra to BMW. And it ended with a surprisingly delivery of her new BMW 4 Series. What happened?
When Debra saw the BMW 4 Series Launchfilm, she decided to buy a BMW 4 Series Coupe instead of a Mercedes Benz and posted that on Facebook. Guess what: BMW somehow liked that and decided to take her by surprise at her delivery at the BMW Welt in Munich…
