I previewed a Space Gray Metallic 535i F10 in SE trim on 16-Feb at Rybrook Warwick, in Warwickshire, England. No pictures were allowed so apologies in advanced - the car was even hidden behind screens to protect it from general view within the dealership.
My first observations were:
1. Well-proportioned if somewhat conservative exterior. The kidney grill looks great but the Volvo S80 type hood is a bit old-fashioned at a time when Jaguar, Mercedes, even Vauxhall and Honda are going the taut, flame-surfacing route.
2. No significant improvement in interior space (esp rear legroom) and boot space is actually less than current E60.
3. Several storage cubby holes every where (front and rear console)

Here comes the new BMW 5 Series. This has got to be the most hotly anticipated new BMW in recent memory. While the current E60 5 Series was a bit of a polarizing car, the BMW top brass has promised this car to be the most beautiful BMW is recent history. What does that mean exactly? The car will likely appeal to all the senses and not carry any distracting or ostentatious design cues that some recent BMWs have had in order to get attention.

These new photos posted up by CarAdvice down under give us the clearest picture of what the final shape and body of the F10 will look like. The headlights continue to be masked up but if you stare at these pictures long enough you can mentally unmask that part yourself to see what it will look like in final form. The official internet reveal is upon us….
Photoshop guru Jon Sibal takes a crack at rendering the F10 5-series. We’ll know soon if it’s accurate as official pics are expected by Nov. end.
