BMW Japan has announced the availability of 300 limited edition 5 Series “Exclusive Sport” models.
There’s actually not much exclusive about these models other than the packaging together of already existing options/packages and BMW Individual options.
The 5 Series sedan or touring can both be ordered in the Exclusive Sport model, and in either 523i (2.0L) or 523d (2.0L diesel). These models all feature the M Sport package (exterior aero kit, steering wheel, seats, and wheels).
The interior features Individual Cinnamon Brown leather with Individual Black Piano trim, upgraded audio and is finished off with a Exclusive Sport badge.
The cars can be ordered in white or Individual Carbon Black and retails at from ¥ 7,190,000 - ¥ 7,490,000, which equals approximately $72,200 - $75,200 USD.
BMW may not be producing an F11 M5 touring model, but that hasn’t stopped Studie from assembling its own, albeit in cosmetic form only.
Starting with a titanium silver F11 528i, they added the M5’s front fenders, side view mirrors, and rear diffuser, while molding their own custom front bumper.
These pics give us a good idea at how good an F11 M5 would have been.
Sure, we’ve already seen the F10 LCI basically revealed (at least for the front end updates), but this is the first look we get at the M Sport LCI model as well as the LCI interior.
The interior shows the new iDrive touch system and new M Sport steering wheel, which resembles the F30 3 Series M Sport steering wheel.
The exterior doesn’t show much changes to the M Sport bumper except perhaps a new foglight housing. This prototype also features a trunk spoiler (as standard?).
As we’ve mentioned previously, mechanical changes will include updated steering and the N63Tu engine (445hp / 480 lb-ft) for the 550i. Production for the F10 LCI begins this July, with deliveries starting in August/September.
German magazine Auto Zeitung has printed an image (likely a render) of the F10 5 Series LCI model on its latest cover.
