We’ve spied the upcoming LCI facelift updated 5 Series again, and the sighting comes on the first Plug-in Hybrid 5 Series we’ve spotted. The LCI update will facelift the entire 5 Series lineup, including the F10 sedan, F11 touring, F07 GT, and the F10 M5, although the styling updates do not look to be too drastic.

In the “Auto Trophy 2012″, the new BMW 3 Series was chosen as the most popular mid-range automobile, while the BMW 1 Series Convertible came out top in the “Convertibles up to 30,000 euros” category. The F11 Touring LCI facelift has now been spotted. This particular prototype is equipped with the xenon headlight option which retains the circular angel eyes/corona rings. The LED headlight option (previously spotted on the gray F10 5 Series sedan prototype) will feature the new squared off angel eyes.
We have information which shows production for the F10 LCI as beginning in July 2013, with deliveries starting in August/September of 2013.

We’ve now posted better spy photos of the F10 5 Series LCI facelift update and an additional update has come to light – the prototype shows a new squared off angel eyes (coronal lights) shape, which has started to appear on BMWs beginning with the latest 3 Series, 6 Series, and 7 Series.

One of our favorite cars of the BMW display at the 2012 Paris show is this cashmere silver F11 5 series touring sitting on a set of 20″ V-Spoke Style 356 wheels in Liquid Black finish. The upsized wheels fill out the F11′s fenders very nicely and the liquid black wheels look great contrasted against cashmere silver.

The current F10 5 Series just arrived on the market in March 2010, but work has already started at BMW for the next generation 5 Series, which should come as a 2017 model.
According to BMW insider Scott26:
The next generation 5er is as I understand going through the motions of design process at the moment so they cannot give a concrete conclusion as we are still some time off from final design freeze , or the final car that will be chosen for production.

5POST member delvek reviews his Hartge ECU remap for the 550i, which he had performed on site at Hartge’s facilities. Hartge’s official stats for their 550i ECU is 360 kW (490 hp) / 5500 rpm 720 Nm (lb-ft 531) / 6400 rpm.
The results? The Hartge engineers were able to record a 80kmh (50mph) to 180kmh (110mph) run in just 7.2 seconds. Delvek’s previously stock 550i took 11.4 seconds to reach the same speed!

Prior Design has now revealed its F10 5 Series PD-R aerodynamic kit. The front bumper design is a cross between an M3 and 1M bumper. The full kit parts as follows:
