Our latest spy photos of the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe (F36) may not reveal anything new for the exterior [see past spy photos] , but this is the first look at the F36′s interior.

And it looks just like the F30 3 Series interior. But, what’s new is the presence of the iDrive Touch controller. This comes as no surprise as BMW has already announced details for a touch sensitive iDrive controller knob and it’s been previously seen on the 2014 BMW X5 (F15) prototype. The iDrive Touch system will debut with the next X5 in Fall 2013 as that comes before the 4 Series Gran Coupe’s expected debut in 2014.

On this episode of Head 2 Head, Motor Trend’s Jonny Lieberman stages a rematch between the all-new Cadillac ATS and the BMW 3-Series (335i). But this time, he trades the smaller engines and manual gear boxes for more power and automatic transmissions. And just to throw a wrench in things, he brought along the 2013 Mercedes-Benz C350.

Does the bigger engine and auto gear box of the ATS have what it takes to redeem itself against the titans of the segment?

In the “Auto Trophy 2012″, the new BMW 3 Series was chosen as the most popular mid-range automobile, while the BMW 1 Series Convertible came out top in the “Convertibles up to 30,000 euros” category. The “Best Advertising” award also went to BMW – here readers of the automobile magazine “Auto Zeitung” showed a clear preference for the BMW 5 Series Touring campaign. Follow the BMW european delivery journal of a group of self-termed Asian guys you don’t know.

The group of friends and relatives took delivery of a F30 328i M Sport at The BMW Welt earlier this month, then proceeded on to Paris and Amsterdam, with an obligatory stop at the Nurburgring.
