The new BMW 3 Series Saloon has lived up to the legacy of its predecessor having been crowned What Car? ‘Best Compact Executive Car’ 2012, for the seventh consecutive year with the 320d SE.
The BMW 3 Series Saloon reigned supreme in the Compact Executive category, recognised for remaining ahead of the competition in every way. With its EfficientDynamics package making this ‘3’ the most economical car in its class it appeals to both business and retail customers. However, it was not just the BMW 3 Series’ outstanding economy that stood out for the judges; it was commended for being smooth and refined whilst still offering that sheer driving pleasure.

The official starting base price (MSRP) for Canadian F30 models has now been announced. The 320i sedan will start at $35,900, the 328i sedan starts at $43,600, and the 335i starts at $51,200.
Seen here, at the Brussels auto show is the first sight of the F30 3 series M Sport looking great with the optional Style 403M 19″ wheels and the blue M sport brakes that we’ve been mentioning. As we just posted about, it hasn’t yet been decided whether the blue M Sport brakes will be a part of the M Sport Package or optional.
Also being displayed with this F30 M Sport model are some BMW Performance and M Performance – an M Performance alcantara dashboard cover with carbon fiber fabric trim, a performance flat bottom alcantara steering wheel with red center marker, and performance racing pedals. Now that the F30 3 series has been officially introduced to the world at the 2012 Detroit NAIAS, expect a lot more public sightings. Spotted just this morning in Toronto were three F30 3 series – a black 335i Sport Line model on the back of a trailer and a Melbourne Red and Havana Metallic F30 at the BMW Canada HQ in Richmond Hill.

Remember, because these are preproduction cars, we still see the development license plate base attached to these F30s. As we’ve confirmed via BMW, the production cars will not have any license plate base attached/molded from the factory.
