Welcome the all new 2015 BMW M4 Convertible.
The highlight for BMW at the New York Autoshow has to be the M4 Convertible. The car shares the same drivetrain and dimensions as the M4 Coupe, but ditches its fixed top for a retractable hard top and weighing in at around 3900lbs.
BMW has confirmed that the car will arrive to U.S. showrooms during the summer of 2014 and will be priced nicely at $73,425 (including Destination & Handling).
An F82 M4 and F80 M3 were in attendance at this past weekend’s Long Beach Grand Prix, where the M4 gives us a listen at its exhaust and rev sounds.

How do you think the two compare?
This new exhibit is on display in the lobby of the BMW Museum – featuring an e30 M3 race car and two actual F8x test mules. The M4 is in Austin Yellow and the M3 in black. Both cars were driven by engineers and BMW’s factory DTM drivers on the Nürburgring / Nordschliefe. The M4′s dashboard was signed by the DTM drivers; a nice touch for these special cars. Hopefully these “test mules” will avoid the crusher.

We reveal to you the F80 M3 in production form! This M3 wears the Yas Marina Blue Metallic color with carbon fiber roof and was spotted during an official commercial filming session.
Seeing the F80 M3 in Yas Marina Blue for an official commercial shoot also indicates that this may be the launch color for M3 marketing material and for when it makes its debut at the 2014 Detroit auto show in January.

BMW M has held workshops revealing some technical aspects of the M3/M4. Our coverage and more official specs will come later.
For now, you should know that the BMW M3 and M4 will officially feature 425 HP and more than 370 LB-FT torque, in line with what we’ve been reporting.
Keep in mind that the F80 M3 /F82 M4 will weigh less than the E90/E92 M3.

Once again, we’re treated to some great looks the F80 M3′s massive fenders. The F80 M3 shares virtually the same styling as the M4 except for the more prominently flared fenders and a different trunk design (no CSL style curve).
