We have been reporting and referring to the upcoming F32 and F82 models as the 4 Series Coupe and M4 Coupe for months now, and Automobile now comes in with their ruminations on what the M4 and 4 series lineup will bring. • Four door “coupe” styled variant to be called 4 Series Gran Coupe … CONTINUED

BMW has issued a delivery stop order on all 2013 M5 and M6 (coupe and convertible). The issue stems from a potential problem with the engine oil pump on certain S63Tu engine equipped cars. Vehicles equipped with an affected pump could experience a sudden loss of oil pressure which will result in engine damage.

BMW is recommending current M5 and M6 owners not drive the vehicle. Stay tuned for updates.

BMW M cars may have staked their reputation on their handling and overall performance package, but with the forced induction trend of the latest M models, they’ve become quite the straight-line monsters.

The 2013 F10 M5 with its S63Tu engine is rated at 560hp from the factory, but dynos have confirmed that this is a significantly underrated power figure. This has now also been borne out at the track.

M5POST member 2013awm5 took his M5 to the track and produced a very impressive quarter mile top run time of 11.78 @ 119mph! This was achieved with launch control and no modifications to the car. The car was bone stock including factory tires and air pressures. All runs done in comfort suspension setting, … CONTINUED

Latest render by resident artist Harold Wood of the 2013/2014 BMW M6 Gran Coupe (F06), which will debut early next year.

Latest information from homepage:

BMW has now finally officially acknowledged the model to be coming next year (US and worldwide). It will likely arrive as a 2014 model year and see its auto show debut at the 2013 NAIAS in Detroit or the 2013 Geneva show. Expect the first details of the car to be announced online by the end of this year.

The M6 Gran Coupe will be powered by the same S63Tu engine as the M5 and M6, but possibly be introduced with a bit more power than the 560hp of the M5/M6. Prototypes have been spotted testing with and benchmarked against M5s (video below). A … CONTINUED
