In case you haven’t yet seen this, here’s the official international brochure for the BMW M235i and 2 Series Coupe. There isn’t much info that isn’t covered in our Official Thread, but if you’re already a 2 Series fan, the extra eye candy alone should be worth a look.
The 2 Series began production earlier this month and is set for a March launch date, after it makes its world debut at the Detroit auto show in January. For U.S. customers, the M235i coupe is priced starting at $44,025 and the 228i at $33,025.

Production of the 2 Series Coupe officially begins today at BMW’s Leipzig plant, which also builds the X1, F20/F21 1 Series and the i3 electric car (i8 will also be produced at the same plant in 2014).
Initially, 720 2-Series will be produced per day, but that figure may be increased if needed. So far, the 2 Series lineup includes M235i, 228i, 220i, 225 and 225d coupes. The 2 Series convertible will join the lineup next year.
Meanwhile, some M235i preproduction models were recently spotted in public. This white M235i coupe was spotted in New Jersey by BIMMERPOST member manoloo and the red M235i in Leipzig by an Autogespot member.

An imaginative look at the BMW M2 Coupe, M235i in different colors and with different wheels, as well as the M235i with M Performance Parts.
The first official 2 Series video teaser posted nearly two weeks ago previewed not only the M235i, but also a cinematic short-film featuring the car.
The complete short-film has now been posted. It’s essentially a gratuitous car chase scene, but what better way is there to get more looks at the M235i in action? Click inside for a look (may take a few seconds for video to appear).
This may not be a direct apples to apples comparison since the M235i is currently only available in 2-door coupe form while the CLA45 AMG has 4 doors and a higher price tag, but the M235i will compete in the same segment as the CLA45 AMG and the performance figures are not far off. This is the best comparison we can make until a M2 comes along…
