A new M235i owner shares with us his review of the car against his 135i, which he still currently owns.
Well fellas, I finally took delivery of my M235, late yesterday here in Indiana, and I wanted to provide some initial thoughts to others on the forum.
By way of background, this is my 5th BMW. I had 2 E92s, both 328, and 2 E82 135s. All of those were MT but for the last 135, which has the DCT.

In a recent BMW M235i commercial [see all], the M235i is seen performing a spin maneuver while backing away from and then leading a BMW 2002 (symbolizing a passing of the proverbial torch).
To show that the maneuver seen in the commercial was real (not CGI generated) and also possible with the 8 speed auto transmission, BMW invited two stunt drivers to recreate the action.

The BMW M235i is a rare thing. It’s the kind of car that just feels… right. It makes you feel special, and it makes me wonder whether BMW needs release an M2 at all.
