We previously posted the video of a drifting BMW F10 M5 on a beach in Wales in support of the BMW London 2012 Performance Team. Now see how it was shot, at the direction of the Director, Stephen Blackman, and at the hands of the Driver, Wolfgang Weber.
While US customers are still waiting for the new F10 M5 to hit showroom floors later next year, European tuners have begun to have access to and tinker with the 2013 M5. Germany based tuner PP Performance have posted the first independent dyno runs of the F10 M5.
This F10 M5 put down 444 BHP to the wheels on a MAHA LPS 3000 dyno. This translates to an estimated engine power of 573.7 BHP and 721 NM of torque.
Other tuners such as G-Power have already got their hands on and begun tuning on the F10 M5. And with tuners already achieving 750hp with the S63 motor from the X5M/X6M (such as the Manhart biturbo M3), expect the same 700+ hp mark from tuned F10 M5’s.

Car versus superbike videos are more an exercise in entertainment rather than an actual or technical review/comparison, but they are nonetheless fun!
So for fun, Autoexpress has put the 2012 M5 against the superbike wearing the same badge - the BMW S1000 RR, in a showdown of BMW’s fastest factory car against its fastest motorcycle. The 200hp vs 560hp battle takes place on the Cadwell Park Circuit in the UK.
On paper, the results seem to be a foregone conclusion when pitting a superbike capable of 0-60 in 2.9 seconds against a car which does the same in 4.4 seconds, but keep in mind that cars do have higher cornering speeds and can brake later on the track. See for yourself below.

This is perhaps the best sounding clip we’ve heard yet of the 2012 F10 M5. Many people have lamented the loss of the iconic naturally aspirated V10 of the previous generation M5 and one of the reasons is the expectation that the bi-turbo V8 won’t sound nearly as good.
