Many people have lamented the loss of the iconic naturally aspirated V10 of the previous generation M5 and one of the reasons is the expectation that the bi-turbo V8 won’t sound nearly as good. This exhaust clip may go far in convincing some people otherwise however. F10 M5 exhaust video clip inside.

We’ve stacked the F10 M5 up against the E63 AMG and CTS-V, but there are other cars in the segment which warrant further comparison, namely the Porsche Panamera Turbo/S and the Jaguar XF-R.

This comparison covers cars from a wide range of prices – from $80,000 to $173,000, but on paper the performance specs and owner demographics are close enough to compare. Again, the real tests will come from test drives, reviews, and direct comparos of the M5 against its rivals.
