Munich. With 133,630 BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce brand automobiles delivered worldwide (+4.7% / prev. yr. 127,638), the BMW Group achieved its best-ever February sales result. A record number of 256,929 (prev. yr. 239,802) vehicles have been delivered to customers since the start of the year
The BMW Group in the U.S. (BMW and MINI combined) reported February sales of 25,613 vehicles, a decrease of 2.2 percent from the 26,184 vehicles sold in the same month a year ago.
“The February results showed there’s a strong underlying demand ready to fuel momentum in the coming months,” said Ludwig Willisch, President and CEO, BMW of North America. “We’ll all be glad to leave the harsh February weather behind and welcome Spring and the new models that come with it.”

The BMW Group continued its positive momentum into the new year with sales increasing by 9.9% in January. A total of 123,276 BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce brand vehicles were delivered to customers (prev. yr. 112,164).

The BMW Group in the U.S. (BMW and MINI combined) reported January sales of 20,195 vehicles, an increase of 2.3 percent from the 19,739 vehicles sold in the same month a year ago.
“After an historic December, January produced a good result showing our growth continuing,” said Ludwig Willisch, President and CEO, BMW of North America, LLC. “In 2013 we’ll have more new models, the right mix and better availability, so I’m very positive about the eleven months still ahead.”

The BMW Group achieved its highest ever sales result in 2012, with a total of 1,845,186 BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce vehicles delivered worldwide. This was an increase of 10.6% over the previous record year in 2011 (1,668,982). All three brands posted record sales for the whole year and the company strengthened its position as the leading provider of premium vehicles worldwide.The BMW Group finished the year on a strong note with 181,571 vehicles sold in December, 14.8% higher than in the same month last year … CONTINUED
The BMW 3 Series has taken the sales crown for the compact luxury sports sedan segment for the year 2012. BMW sold 99,602 3 Series in 2012 compared to 81,697 C-Class sold by Mercedes Benz. The 3 Series figures include sales of the E92, E93, F30 and F31 models.
BMW managed this feat even with some supply constraints on the F30 3 Series experienced during earlier parts of 2012.

In 2012, the BMW Group in the U.S. (BMW and MINI combined) achieved its best sales since the previous record year of 2007 retailing 347,583 vehicles, up 13.8 percent compared to the 305,418 vehicles sold in 2011. BMW Group reported December sales of 43,855 vehicles, an increase of 34.8 percent from the 32,545 vehicles sold in the same month a year ago.

From BMW’s November 2012 sales numbers, here are some updated sales stats for the 3 series.
10,776 3 Series were sold in November 2012, representing a 42.4% increase over November 2011.
88,857 3 Series have been sold year-to-date in 2012, an increase of 3.5% over same period last year.
It appears that 3 Series sales are doing just fine, contrary to what some naysayers may claim.
BMW brand up 45 percent in November – best month ever; 10.4 percent year-to-date increase.
MINI brand up 10.5 percent in November; 15.2 percent increase year-to-date – already surpassed 2011 sales record.

The BMW Group continued to perform successfully during the period under report despite difficult market conditions. Sales volume, revenues and earnings figures all constituted new highs to date for a third quarter. Revenues during the three-month period from July to September rose by 13.7% to € 18,817 million (2011: € 16,547 million). The profit before financial result (EBIT) increased by 13.8% to € 2,004 million (2011: € 1,761 million). Woodcliff Lake, NJ – November 1, 2012… The BMW Group in the U.S. (BMW and MINI combined) reported October sales of 32,339 vehicles, an increase of 18.5 percent from the 27,288 vehicles sold in the same month a year ago. Year-to-date, BMW Group is up 8.4 percent on sales of 267,267 in the first ten months of 2012 compared to 246,602 in the same period in 2011.

With 121,615 BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce brand automobiles sold worldwide last month (+9.7%, prev. yr. 110,903 units), the BMW Group achieved its best-ever August sales result.
