Well, its brother, the F82 M4 Coupe has often been spotted with a camouflaged roof (as well as an optional top with moonroof), which typically indicates the presence of a carbon fiber roof, but the F80 M3 Sedan has never been seen with a camouflaged top, until now.

Generally speaking, it does a decent job at previewing the M235i, although it does have to make some predictions as to the rear view and tail lights, which remain partially covered in the spy photos. We’ve spotted the BMW M235i Coupe again and although it remains in the previous stage of camouflage (you’ve seen it revealed in the photos below anyway), this is our first ever look at the 2 Series Coupe versus its older brother to be, the 4 Series Coupe.

The 228i coupe will join the M235i coupe as the first two 2 Series models available in the US. Both models will begin production in November 2013, as a 2014 model year.

The reveal of the all new 2014 BMW X5 (F15) is imminent, but testing continues on the F15 X5 M.

Testing on the F15 X5 M began last year [first sighting], but current mules have now dropped much camouflage. What’s revealed are the expected signature M components – huge front air intakes, aggressive sideskirts and rear diffuser, blue M brakes, and cross drilled rotors (the first for any X5 model). A BMW 2 series prototype crashed on the German Autobahn yesterday evening. According to the article, the driver lost control of his car at high speed, clipping 50m of the beam barrier on the right hand side of the road and came to a rest after another 150m in the left hand lane. Furthermore, 4 other cars on the other side were hit by debris. Luckily the driver sustained only minor injuries and no one else was hurt.

Two F15 X5s were just spotted during transportation in a cargo plane and while their exteriors remain camouflaged (previously revealed exterior photos below), we get some nice clear looks at their interiors.

As seen in previous spy shots, the F15 X5′s features a multi-layered dashboard design look and is both more driver-centric and upright compared to the current X5′s dashboard.

Nearly a month ago, we spotted the first non-black F82 M4 coupe prototype (in Silverstone) on the road (reposted below). We’ve just spied a Silverstone F82 M4 testing on the Nurburgring, wearing M Carbon Ceramic Brakes. Yes, a comparison of the M235i against a 435i M Sport or potential M435i would be a more appropriate comparison, but there are no revealed photos of the 435i M Sport (and no photos of a potential M435i). This is just to provide our members with a comparison of the 2 Series vs 4 Series’ general shapes and looks.

The angles on the spy photos also don’t match up exactly, but we will post another visual comparison once we have official photos for both models.
