Presenting the first look at the official F10 M5 production model! These are leaked F10 M5 photos from AutoZeitung, a German publication.
The F10 M5 production is barely changed from the concept version, featuring the same exterior styling, except for more streamlined side view mirrors and more aggressive sideskirts on the production model, as we predicted.
The official press release and full set of photos will come early next week, followed by the public debut at the M Festival (next Thursday, June 23).
One of the most oft asked question regarding the upcoming F10 M5 production car is whether it will come with a manual transmission option. BMW has already announced that the F10 M5 will have a 7-speed DCT transmission, but has been mum on confirming whether or not a 6-speed manual would be made available.

We’ve spotted a black F10 M5 prototype conducting some final testing. It wears a minimal amount of camouflage and the least amount of cover we’ll see prior to seeing the production version. What you see is essentially the production version, including the mirrors and sideskirts which were not seen on the concept M5 model.

The F10 M5 production model will be debuting at next month’s BMW M Festival at the Nurburgring (from June 23-26) and BMW continues to release teasers about this debut. Southern California appears to be a hotbed for FEP stage F10 M5 prototype testing, as multiple test cars are spotted each week. Another black F10 M5 prototype was just spotted last week (video/photos inside). The chase car was no slouch – an E39 M5, and it still had problems keeping up in the beginning of the video.

The guys over at M5Board got their hands on the first picture of the upcoming F10 M5 Engine Bay! This motor is at the heart of all the M5 speculation at the moment. What is known is that this motor is based on the Twin Turbo V8 unit currently motivating the X5 and X6 M. However, it has undergone modification for use in the M5 and BMW is clutching onto the exact power and torque figures, keeping us all in suspense.
