Autocar UK places Steve Sutcliffe behind the wheel of the F10 M5 for some BMW hoonage. Sure, a 560hp/501lb-ft torque RWD monster can drift, but the question here is – how far will it drift?
No surprise to anyone, the answer is FAR! According to Sutcliffe, the fast steering system and monster torque make the F10 M5 a cinch to throw around, and it shows in this video.

We previously posted the video of a drifting BMW F10 M5 on a beach in Wales in support of the BMW London 2012 Performance Team. Now see how it was shot, at the direction of the Director, Stephen Blackman, and at the hands of the Driver, Wolfgang Weber.
While US customers are still waiting for the new F10 M5 to hit showroom floors later next year, European tuners have begun to have access to and tinker with the 2013 M5. Germany based tuner PP Performance have posted the first independent dyno runs of the F10 M5.
This F10 M5 put down 444 BHP to the wheels on a MAHA LPS 3000 dyno. This translates to an estimated engine power of 573.7 BHP and 721 NM of torque.
Other tuners such as G-Power have already got their hands on and begun tuning on the F10 M5. And with tuners already achieving 750hp with the S63 motor from the X5M/X6M (such as the Manhart biturbo M3), expect the same 700+ hp mark from tuned F10 M5′s.

The 2013 BMW F10 M5 recently made its US public debut at the LA Autoshow in a stunning frozen silver color.
From the event and next to this F10 M5, Matt Russell, Manager, M Brand BMWNA, provides this overview of the 2013 BMW M5 (F10) in 90 seconds.
One of only two F10 M5s rolled into a NJ Cars and Coffee meet this weekend, showing off its 6 speed manual transmission and posing with its M5 predecessors. The M5 was driven to the event by the US M division product planner.
It was affirmed that the release date will be around August. With the US making up almost 50% of world-wide M5 sales, the factory has to be in full swing and the kinks worked out – given the intolerable nature of the US customer when it comes to faults.
Fifth Gear’s Vicki Butler-Henderson takes the 2012 BMW F10 M5 out for a thrashing in the popular UK auto show’s review of the all new M5.

Car versus superbike videos are more an exercise in entertainment rather than an actual or technical review/comparison, but they are nonetheless fun!
So for fun, Autoexpress has put the 2012 M5 against the superbike wearing the same badge – the BMW S1000 RR, in a showdown of BMW’s fastest factory car against its fastest motorcycle. The 200hp vs 560hp battle takes place on the Cadwell Park Circuit in the UK.
On paper, the results seem to be a foregone conclusion when pitting a superbike capable of 0-60 in 2.9 seconds against a car which does the same in 4.4 seconds, but keep in mind that cars do have higher cornering speeds and can brake later on the track. See for yourself below.
Ahead of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, a quiet beach in Wales echoes with the sound of the new BMW M5′s twin turbo engines as precision driver Wolfgang Weber enjoys drifting around Pendine Sands to help us support the BMW London 2012 Performance Team athletes.
