Per iND provides an update on its F10 M5 project tuning car:
Development of IND’s M5 continues, and in this week’s update we find our M5 within the bowels of AMS; dyno room. Having logged over 20 hours on the dyno since the installation of a host of AMS-supplied testing and datalogging equipment, we’ve started to build a knowledge base that will help to make key decisions and allow us to take steps toward our ultimate power goal.
Our M5 was wired with a complete sensor package including:
intake air temperature sensors before and after the coolers
boost pressure sensor at the intake manifold
ambient temperature sensors
intercooler water temp pre and post intercooler
Germany based Hartge has released the figures on its ECU software tune for the M5 and M6 good for 642hp and 810 Nm (597 lb-ft), representing an increase of +82 hp and +130 Nm (96 lb-ft) over the factory figures.
Hartge quotes a new 0-62mph time of 4.2 seconds with a top speed of 190mph (305kmh).
This is achieved with the ECU tune as well as a stainless steel exhaust system.
The Hartge F10 M5 below also showcases Hartge lowering springs which lowers the M5 by 25mm front / 20mm rear, as well as the Hartge front lip (still unpainted we hope), side skirts, and carbon fiber mirror covers.
Final official numbers have been released on the Manhart Manhart Racing MH5 S Biturbo F10 M5 and it comes in at an impressive 646 HP (475 kW) and 570 lb-ft (773 Nm) torque [a +86hp / +68 lb-ft gain over stock] . Top speed is now 196 mph (316 km/h).
All this power is generated from its ECU software tune, MHR carbon fiber air intake system, downpipes (can be ordered with catalytic converters) and sports exhaust system with 90mm tail pipes (video below).
This particular MH5 S M5 is wrapped in matte grey vinyl and adorned with a carbon fiber body kit which includes a front spoiler lip, GTR vented hood, rear diffuser and trunk spoiler.

Velos Designwerks video announcing their F10 M5 and F12/F13 M6 Stage 1 Performance Software Tune (for the S63Tu engine). Initial power gain estimates for the Stage 1 tune is roughly 73 hp and 80 lb ft of torque.
The GruppeM Ram Air Intake System for the BMW F10 M5 has officially been released. The carbon fiber air intake system’s dyno graph shows peak gains of +15 HP and +30 lb-ft torque over stock.
We present the just released 3D Design F10 M5! The 3D Design program for the F10 M5 features a robust line of carbon fiber aerodynamic accessories including a front lip, low splitters, side skirts, rear diffuser, and trunk spoiler. In addition to these pieces the roof spoiler from their existing F10 line will also be compatible.
The F10 M5 line will not stop at the aerodynamic portion of the brand. 3D Design will have their trademark exhaust system developed with Arqray as a technology partner. Currently the exhaust will be made available in stainless steel with quad 100mm tips providing a aggressiveness that suits the elegance of their rear diffuser. The exhaust will be made available in both a JASMA spec as well as Export spec.

Manhart Racing has unveiled its new MH5 S Biturbo tuning program for the BMW M5 (F10).
The first stage tuning package breathes more power into the M5’s bi-turbo 4.4L V8 S63Tu engine by pushing it 624hp (633 PS / 466 kW) and 575 lb-ft (780 Nm) of torque. This is an increase of +72hp (73 PS / 54 kW) and 74 lb-ft (100 Nm) over factory.
Yet to come will be even more powerful stages which will produce 661hp (670 PS / 493 kW) and 725hp (735 PS / 541 kW). Full details are not yet released, but you can bet on changes to the F10 M5’s turbochargers, downpipes and exhaust system to achieve these monstrous figures.

AC Schnitzer has revealed its ACS5 M5 Tuning Package ahead of its debut at the 2012 Geneva Motorshow next week. The ACS5 package features both cosmetic and performance enhancements.
The F10 M5’s already potent S63Tu motor receives a power increase (via ECU tune) to 620hp / 790Nm (582lb-ft) torque. The growl coming from the M5 is enhanced via the AC Schnitzer twin sports silencer with valve control, with its chrome tailpipes.
The M5 is lowered on AC Schnitzer suspension spring kit and wheel options are the Type VIII racing and forged alloy rims in 21 inch, Type V forged alloy wheels in 20 inch and Type IV BiColor rims in the same size.
