As we’ve mentioned, the first F30 press global drives recently began in Barcelona, and the first drives are now beginning to be posted.
First in is Edmunds Insideline’s review of the F30 328i powered by BMW’s new 2.0L 4 cylinder turbo engine. Inside are some of the highlights of what they have to say about the 2012 F30 328i sedan.
We’re attending the press drives for the BMW F30 3 series in Barcelona, Spain and to kick off the test drives, BMW has released a new set of high resolution photos of the F30 on location.
The photo sets inside feature: all model lines on location at the Circuit de Catalunya Formula 1 track, a 328i Sport Line, and a 320d Modern Line.

Undoubtedly, the most important debut for BMW in 2011 was the new F30 3 series Sedan. BMW pulled the wraps off and published the first info on the new 3 back in October.
As with any new model, some of you have questions that haven’t been answered by the official materials. This 2012 F30 3 series Modern Line was spotted at Holland’s Schiphol airport, the site of many a new BMW model preview/spotting in the past, where some BMWs make a stop before crossing the Atlantic ocean to North America.
This is a US spec model (note the orange bumper reflectors) and is a Modern Line model.
After the first F32 coupe photos, we now bring to you the first spy video of the upcoming BMW 4 Series (or 3 Series, as name change is not yet confirmed) coupe out testing in Munich.
The live look provided by a video always provides the best perspectives because we are able to see and perceive the physical aspects (size, proportions, transitions, and scale) of the car in one continuous moving view. Seeing a car in motion among other cars and natural elements also provides the most realistic look.
The F32 coupe certainly looks to have good size and proportions in the video, not appearing as long or stretched as some spy photos may have made it appear. Have a look for yourself below.
The 2012 3-series sedan product planning and strategy bulletin and ordering guide has been released (scans below).
Retails sales will launch on February 11, 2012. The first two months of production will be used to produce dealer’s initial stock - two 328i and one 335i. Here’s a breakdown of the ordering info available so far:
STANDARD EQUIPMENT on both 328i and 335i sedan will include:
