Exciting moment folks! We bring you the very first spyshots of the next generation F30 M3 / F32 M3. These photos show an F30 3-series sedan with several trademark M3 features such as quad-exhaust, flared fenders and drilled brake discs.

Scott26 claims that these photos are no indication of an M3 sedan making it to production. Rather, BMW had only an F30 prototype to use for testing the M3 parts and components. Don’t count the F30 M3 sedan out yet however, as it’s been alluded to that it may still be in the plans — despite the rather slow sales of the E90 M3 sedan. That this prototype F30 M3 has wider fenders indicates to us that this is merely the F32 M3 … CONTINUED

As the E90 3-series’ production comes to an end this October, attention has already been shifting to the next generation F30 3-series sedan. Here, BMW continues testing of the next generation 3-series (F30) sedan. It seems that the amount of camouflage has remained at this level for a while now, but new colors continue to appear on the FEP prototypes.

The F30 3 series spied here looks to be in Deep Sea Blue Metallic or the new Midnight Blue color introduced on the F20 1-series hatchback. This new wheel design has been spotted multiple times on F30 prototypes, so we expect it to be the premium 19″ wheel option.

F30 begins production in November 2011. The 2012 Model Year will run until June 2012, upon which point it … CONTINUED

FEP F30 3-series prototypes are now running abound throughout Germany. This is the first sighting of a titanium silver F30 which was seen cruising on the Autobahn. As always, the F30 is looking great in motion and out in a real world environment with its great proportions and stance, short overhangs, and large wheels which fit the car’s size nicely.

The F30 3-series sedan will be revealed for the first time in the Fall and the first models introduced will be 328i and 335i models. They will begin production in November, shortly after the E90 3-series stops production in October. BMW’s research and development head, Klaus Draeger, has confirmed that future BMWs will indeed utilize new turbocharged 3-cylinder gas and diesel engines. This begs the question which future models will receive these 3 cylinder motors. According to Draeger (via Autocar), the upcoming FWD 1-series models will receive the 1.5L turbo 3-cylinder and not the F30 3-series (at least not initially?)

“They are not a priority for the 3-series,” Draeger told Autocar last week. “We’ll start with the front-wheel drive architecture and more price-sensitive models.”

Instead, the smallest engine we expect to see for the F30 3-series is the 245hp 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder N20 engine.

Draeger revealed that the petrol version of the engine, known internally as N37, has the potential to match the maximum 54bhp-per-cylinder rating of the firm’s … CONTINUED

Musical chairs for the next generation M3′s powerplant continues. If Autoexpress’ latest rumor is accurate, the F30/F32 M3 is expected to feature a tri-turbo 3.3L 6-cylinder motor. One of the turbos would be powered by electricity (not exhaust gases as with traditional setups). The motor is speculated to produce 450bhp.

The F30/F32 M3′s body would make use of CFRP to keep its weight down. Dr. Friedrich Nitschke, BMW M’s new managing director also revealed the following to Autoexpress regarding the next gen M3: “There will be a bigger focus on very low fuel consumption,” “The new M3 will prove this.”

We bring you the first ever live action look at the F30 335i testing on the Nurburgring.  Without lap times it’s difficult to know exactly how well it handles the famed track, but the mule seems to zip around the track with great composure, little roll, and good speed. Check out the full video inside.
