The all-new BMW M4 Convertible arrives in US showrooms this summer to join the M4 Coupe and M3 Sedan. The 2015 BMW M4 Convertible is powered by the same BMW TwinPower Turbo 3.0-liter inline-six as its siblings. That engine produces 425 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque and can be mated to either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed M DCT transmission. We got a hold of the operating manual of the F80 M3 and found some interesting tidbits we would like to share.

Break-In Period
As with any other current or late M model, break-in period is 2,000 km or 1,200 miles. During that time, maximum engine speed should not exceed 5,500 RPM, maximum speed is 170 kph (105 mph).

Between 2,000 and 5,000 km (1240 and 3100 miles), engine RPM can be slowly increased but speed should not exceed 220 kph (137 mph) for a longer … CONTINUED
