The BMW M3 CRT (Carbon Racing Technology) embodies a concentrated blend of state-of-the-art development expertise – inspired directly by motor sport – in the areas of drive system and chassis technology and intelligent lightweight design. It also represents the worldwide debut of a new production process for carbon-fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) components in the automotive industry. Color us unsurprised. At the M Night last Thursday, BMW pulled the wraps off the M3 CRT (Carbon Racing Technology). As we reported, it’s the most focused E90 M3 version yet, making use of innovative carbon fiber production technology. Powered by a 450hp 4.4L version of the award winning S65 V8 engine and exclusively painted in Frozen Polar Silver, production of the M3 CRT is limited to only 67 units.
Well, it now appears that 67 people were willing to spend at least EUR 130,000 for this car. Autobild reports that the M3 CRT has supposedly already completely sold out, within 2-3 days of its unveil.

The event took place in BMW’s building at the Nurburgring track. The building itself had stadium seating on the side of the building facing the track to observe cars and races running on the famed ‘ring’. The event took place on the ground level in the event hall.
Brian Watts, BMW M GmbH’s General Manager Sales and Marketing, provided the english language details to each of the two cars.

We bring you the latest spyshots of the BMW E90 M3 Lightweight model allegedly called M3 EVO. BMW is performing last tests on the Nürburgring prior to the offical unveiling at the M Night on June 23rd. BMW allowed us an early glimpse at the car back in April. The M3 EVO is said to be slotted between a regular E9x M3 and the extreme M3 GTS. Powered by the already famous S65 V8 engine, we expect an output in the neighborhood of 440hp. BMW will use the M3 EVO to showcase the increasing use of lightweight materials and parts, such as lightweight seats and brake discs, among other things. Despite all the weight-saving, the M3 EVO will retain its practicality - seating 4 adults … CONTINUED
Just in, here are some brand new spy shots of the BMW Lightweight E90 M3 said to be called M3 EVO. Back in April, BMW teased us with a first surprise appearance of this car in Garching. Thanks to Klier and rususlikwho caught this car at the Nürburgring, we can now share another glimpse at this car.
Unlike the earlier spotting, this test car looks exactly like what has been presented in Garching. Dedicated front spoiler lip and rear spoiler supposedly made from some lightweight material, 6-piston lightweight brakes (more info), and a unique color what we suppose is a non-metallic Interlagos Blue.

What caught our attention in a recent interview about the M Festival is an announcement that they “will be taking the opportunity to exclusively present two brand-new M automobiles for the very first time” at the M Night. We already know, as previously announced, that one of the M cars will be the lightweight M3 sedan which is supposed to be called M3 EVO. The only other M car we could speculate as … CONTINUED
