BMW M brand’s biggest present day fan, Bill Caswell [of the controversial "Death of BMW's M Brand" Jalopnik article] takes the 420 electric horsepower all-electric E36 M3 Pikes Peak racer for a test drive.
See if this modern day conversion of an older M car impresses.
The ///M Flight members from BIMMERPOST cruised together this past weekend to to visit Manhart Racing Zentrale in Wuppertal, Germany during the tuning company’s open house.
They rolled out of Kaiserslautern seven cars deep at around 0730 and spent about 3.5hrs due to traffic and the weather traveling only 190miles (mind you this is Germany and with their autobahns it should be no more than 2 hrs). They were met at the location by another 8 ///M Flight members from other parts of Germany. The weather as can be seen in the pictures was not the greatest, but they still enjoyed themselves. It would rain profusely, and then sun would come out, and then rain and shine on and on throughout the day. ///M Flight meet at … CONTINUED
New photos of the mystery shrouded BMW model spotted at the BMW Museum shows that it is indeed a coupe shape, ruling out the possibility that it is the F80 M3 sedan. However, new info and clues provide some guidance on what it may be.
The car is confirmed to have quad exhausts, which confirms that it’s an M model. We can think of two upcoming M models expected in the next 2-3 years bearing the shape and size suggested by the photos – the F82 M4 Coupe and M6 Gran Coupe. The rear tires on this model give further clues. They are Michelin Pilot Super Sports in 275/35/19 size, which is too small for the M6 Gran Coupe, which should share similar size tires as the … CONTINUED
See the BMW 1M Coupe posing with its spiritual forefather – the E30 M3. The 1M is in Valencia Orange while the E30 M3 is in Henna Red, with both having the same owner. This is one lucky 1ADDICTS member.

A mystery BMW model appeared at the BMW Museum a bit over a month ago, shrouded under a big blue tarp. It’s yet to be positively identified, but could this possibly be the next generation F80 M3 sedan or F82 M4 coupe?
There’s not much to go off of by way of the sparse photos, but the one part of the car that can be partially seen – the wheels, happen to match the wheels that have been spotted on the F80 M3 sedan prototypes from our spy photos.
It’s premature for any F80 M3 concept to be shown, much less an F82 M4 coupe (the F32 4 series coupe upon which the M4 will be based has not even debuted yet), but is it just our hopeful … CONTINUED

This is likely the very first E30 M3 Touring that you’ve ever seen, and for good reason – BMW never made such a model. But where BMW stops, the BMW enthusiast (or shop) sometimes picks up.
This custom built E30 M3 touring started its life as a E30 318i touring. The builder, a New Jersey custom fabrication shop, used a totaled E30 M3 coupe as the donor for many body parts, while a E36 M3 provided the heart for the custom M3 touring – BMW’s 282HP S50B30 3.0L engine with 80k miles on the clock.
It also features shaved hood, shaved front bumper (EvoIII style), carbon fiber front brake ducts, carbon fiber front splitter, Evo II front lip, Evo II hood gasket seals, Euro grills, original Euro … CONTINUED
