Watch the first 2012 M5 (F10) publicly recorded high speed run, where the F10 M5 easily hits 300kmph (187mph) on the Autobahn. It’s a delight to see the speedometer climb so quickly, but also mad fun to hear the engine and exhaust noises as it rockets into the triple digit speeds. Video inside!
The 2011 Frankfurt IAA represents the F10 M5′s general public reveal and BMW has strutted out not just the typical Monte Carlo Blue launch color, but also in Moonstone (Individual color), and Alpine White. It felt like ///M heaven walking into the M area.
There was also a Monte Carlo Blue M5 being used to drive around the BMW track in the exhibit hall, as well as the F10 M5 Safety Car.
The Alpine White M5 was paired with a gorgeous Sakhir Orange interior with black piano trim, and optional enhanced seats. Each M5 featured blue brakes, which are standard
Also, to solve any confusion regarding the F10 M5′s steering, we confirmed that it is hydraulic steering.
Well, this looks like fun. We’ve reported about the six lucky guys who were invited to the F10 M5 Fly and Drive event earlier this month (one of them was 5POST member benz61). M-Power.com has just published a new video starring the new M5, Claudia Huertgen, a German race car driver, and some happy passengers. This video includes some nice drifts and thus obviously doesn’t reflect the fastest possible time for the car.
Enjoy the new M5 during a fun lap on the Nurburgring. Also remember that the new M5 will be available as regular Ring Taxi from 2012 on.
Here’s the best live action footage of the F10 M5, from full throttle runs on the Ascar Race Resort Track, to spirited driving in the Spanish mountains, and cruising in the city streets.
The 2012 M5 (F10) will come in a fairly extensive choice of colors, including some beautiful individual exterior color options. One of the individual exterior color options is Brilliant White Metallic, which we’ve spotted hanging out at BMW M HQ in Garching, Germany.
Besides the individual brilliant white metallic exterior paint, the this M5 also has other individual options, such as the black painted mirrors and wheels. The red leather interior looks great set off against the white and black exterior color scheme.
As for not having blue brakes, it’s probably because it’s not a production M5, but a factory test car.
We’ve put together a color preview guide for the F10 M5, which can be seen at http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=546540
