German publication AMS decided to pit two popular diesel SUVs against each other — the BMW X3 xDrive 30d against Audi Q5 3.0 TDI Quattro or 258hp/413 lb-ft inline-6 vs 240hp/369lb-ft V6.
The outcome is that both cars are similar in many ways, but the BMW X3 manages to get the edge and wins this comparison. Details inside.
Audi’s all new Q3 has just been released, which was not unexpected considering Audi has a vehicle in every segment that BMW has one.
The new Q3 is certainly aesthetically pleasing, but when I first saw it, I didn’t have a strong reaction one way or the other. I think that is a function of the fact that like most Audis today, it is fairly similar to every other Audi product, especially the Q5. So while it’s not ugly, it is a bit booring to me.
Regardless, we … CONTINUED
Edmunds’ InsideLine has published their full review of the new 2011 X3 xDrive35i, equipped with the N55 3.0L turbocharged engine that is becoming ubiquitous across the BMW lineup.
InsideLine starts of their article with these words:
“Stop, wait, shudder, silent, check.
Stop, wait, shudder, silent, check.
Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.”
Certainly scary to read in a NEW car review. When I saw that I thought I was in for one piss poor review. It turns out what they cleverly highlighted was a feature in the new X3 that will … CONTINUED

To better capture the U.S. market with the new BMW X3, BMW spent more time and effort on new North American owner friendly upholders than anyone would ever expect. Big Gulp fans rejoice. Seriously though, if this proves helpful to North American X3 sales, then it was money and time well spent.

A few shots of the new interior for the F25. It looks like the X3 will recieve a similar tach to the 7 series and 5 series, which is really awesome news. The new interior style is of course one of the best traits of new BMWs and theres no signs that BMW has cheaped out at all on the X3. I can’t wait to not only see this new X3 but feel the quality as well.
Its coming soon. I swear

This BMW X3 teaser site has been in a holding phase for nearly a month now, possibly because it was released too soon? Regardless, all signs and whispers point to a full reveal and release of the X3 in the month of July, possibly even next week sometime. I certainly hope so, because I actually think its a nice model that bucks some trends in its category while at the same time upping the quality levels that are lacking in the current X3. … CONTINUED
