The BMW X3 equipped with M-Sport has been making the rounds to all the recent autoshows I can think of. A magnifient Alpine White example was at the Paris autoshow, then a sharp Titanium Silver one was at the Chicago autoshow, but now BMW has graced the X3 with my favorite color for the show here in Geneva, Deep Sea Blue Metallic! This particular model is equipped visibly identically to the M-Sport xDrive35i’s we can get in the US, down to the 19″ wheels. Enjoy!
Taking delivery of a BMW where it’s built is a special occasion. For US X3 owners this is easily accomplished as the X3 is currently built in Spartanburg, SC. Xbimmers member buckeyesi recently took delivery of his 2011 X3 at Spartanburg and shares his PCD (performance center delivery) experience with us.

Only weeks after its market launch it has already been hailed “Off-Roader of the Year”. The new BMW X3 has made an instant and lasting impression on fans of all-wheel-drive vehicles: readers of Germany’s Off Road magazine voted it their favourite in the “SUV” category. This accolade sees the new BMW X3 following in the tyre tracks of its predecessor model, which was voted “Off-Roader of the Year” twice in succession – in 2006 and 2007. The latest Off Road reader poll also conferred outstanding rankings on two other BMW X models: the BMW X6 Sports Activity Coupé was runner-up in the “Crossover” category while the new BMW X5 came third among the “Luxury Off-Roaders”.

Count me in as one of those people who love to ski, so this caught my attention. It looks like BMW is teaming up with K2 to promote the new X3.
What they’ve decided to do is host a series of ski events at some pretty nice ski resorts across the country. At these events, the BMW X3 will be on display and they will be giving away a pair of K2 Aftershock skis and a BMW ski bag each day. While at the booth, you can choose to either take the X3 out for a test drive or take a pair of K2 skis out on the mountain for a free try. They also plan to have complimentary hot refreshments on hand for anyone who decides … CONTINUED
alpineweiss’ just delivered X3 shows how great and aggressive a black X3 looks with an X-line delete (no chrome window trim and no titanium bumper trims and door sills).

BMW recently launched its X3 Customer Production Video Portal which gives access to the creation of each customer’s custom-made BMW X3 vehicles via an online video portal that will show them footage of their customized X3 being produced at the company’s plant in Spartanburg, SC. Here is what it looks like, from the production of an Xbimmer member’s X3 xDrive28i.
The video is a mix of interesting background video into BMW’s X3 production process, as well as actual footage of the customer’s specific car (identified by its VIN number).
