The 1M coupe was offered in only 3 factory colors, which left many wanting more color choices. This explains the trend of so many 1M coupes getting color makeovers in the aftermarket, usually by way of vinyl wraps.

This is one of my favorites so far - an 1M in Candy Grey Metallic. It looks terrific - flashy without being overly so and looks particularly good matched to its ActiveE hood (with hood bump/bulge).

iND has started on its first F10 M5 portfolio project car, for their client, Tom. Per iND:

Perhaps the effect will wear off in time, but for now seeing an F10 M5 in the flesh feels like peering into a toy store. For our client Tom, who has already brought several of his cars to us for some special touches, even a stock twin-turbo super sedan cannot be left untouched. Tom has been an ardent BMW enthusiast since medical school, jumping right into the fray with a supercharged E36 M3. Today, with his X5M having departed, we knew this new replacement would have to really turn heads.

Despite the power output of his new M5 topping even his R8 V10 right out of the box, Tom felt … CONTINUED

BIMMERPOST member Powerbeast has a penchant for Dakar Yellow apparently, as he is now the owner of the only Dakar Yellow E90 M3 sedan (BMW Individual order) in the country (U.S.). This follows after his Dakar Yellow 1M coupe, which was also quite a hit among BMW enthusiasts.

On a recent Saturday, 1ADDICTS members visited Manhart Racing GmbH in Wuppertal, near the Essen area in NRW (Western Germany).

The Chef/Boss & Technical Director of Manhart Racing GmbH, Christoph Erfurt showed us around the shop and exlpained in detail any questions we had of their various project cars. While Benedict Spohr the sales manager answered the “how much is THAT” questions.

The Manhart crew could not have been nicer to all ofus 1Addicts. It was a fantastic day with lots of cool cars to droll over. They even let us take turns driving their project 1M! How cool was that! And… we even let them drive some of our highly mod’d 1er’s for their expert opinion.

One thing that I was not aware of is that Manhart also … CONTINUED

The 2013 Alpina B7, based on the refreshed 2013 7 Series, made its U.S. debut this week at the BMW press launch in Laguna Seca Raceway (along with the 2013 M5 and M6 coupe). This is the closest thing we’ll get to an M7 or M Performance 7 Series (for now) and it was a beast on the track!

Our Track Review

It’s a wholly physics defying experience accelerating a nearly 5000 pound car from 0-60 in 4.4 seconds, handling corners at speed with little roll, and diving into and coming out of the Laguna Seca corkscrew as if it was a medium sized sedan. This was our experience with refreshed B7 sedan at Laguna Seca. Although I’ve never driven a train, I’d say this car fulfills the … CONTINUED
