The 2011 Frankfurt IAA auto show is underway and we bring you the first of our coverage, starting with the BMW Performance F20 1 series.
As we’ve posted earlier, this is a showcase vehicle used to introduce the new line of BMW Accessories for the 2012 F20 1 series, which include BMW Performance front bumper with spoiler lip, performance rear bumper, sideskirts, black grilles, carbon fiber mirror covers, performance stripes, 19″ Performance wheels, and BMW Performance brakes.
The interior features BMW performance steering wheel (alcantara/carbon fiber), alcantara dash trim, performance pedals, performance floor mats, performance shift knob, performance shift boot, and carbon fiber textured door handles.

Hamann will be debuting its newest builds at the Frankfurt IAA beginning tomorrow, but here’s a first look at the Hamann 650i.
Front and center in the Hamann 650i tuning package is the complete replacement bumper with LED daytime running lights and complete rear bumper replacement. It also gets aggressive sideskirts and rear trunk spoiler.
As for performance, the power is pushed to 510hp with a ECU tune and stainless exhaust system.
The 650i is lowered by 30mm on Hamann springs.
The factory spec M3 feels right at home on the street or the track, but there’s always room for owners to customize it to become an even sharper track tool, such as this dedicated track-spec M3 owned by M3POST member wwjd15.
The melbourne red M3 features an array of track enhancement parts — front lip with functioning support rods, high rear wing spoiler for added downforce, lightweight Volk racing wheels, rollcage, Recaro racing seats, coilovers, and exhaust system.

AC Schnitzer will be debuting their latest models at next week’s Frankfurt IAA, and one of them will be their 6 series convertible.
It’s based on the 650i, but the power has been tuned up significantly to 540hp (from standard 407hp). These gains come from an ECU tune and a new exhaust system.
Cosmetic enhancements include a new front spoiler lip, radiator grille, and rear apron.
Brakes have been upgraded with new 8 piston calipers in front. The car has been lowered with Schnitzer springs and sit on 21″ Schnitzer wheels.

Here’s one of the first reviews of the BMW 335i Performance Edition Retrofit Kit, which is a factory tune which retains the factory warranty. Horsepower increase from 300 to 320, torque increase from 300 to 317ft-lbs for a manual transmission, and to 332 for automatic transmission. This all results in 0.2 seconds faster acceleration time than the standard factory model from 80 to 100 km/h and 0.5 seconds faster acceleration time than the standard factory model from 80 to 120km/h. The Performance Edition Kit can also be retrofitted on the 135i.
German tuning company, CLP Automotive, has unveiled its BMW M3 GT Interceptor, based off the M3 GTS. The CLP M3 GT features upgrades all around - aerodynamics, power, and handling.
The M3 GT Interceptor features a widebody kit with carbon fiber front bumper, hood, fenders with brake cooling vents, sideskirts, widened quarter panels/fenders, rear bumper, and high spoiler. The CLP Interceptor widebody kit alone is priced at 8,880 EUR.
To match its new go-faster look, the CLP M3 GT gets extra power via a G-power supercharger and Akrapovic lightweight titanium exhaust system, together which develop 592 HP. The CLP BMW M3 GT sits on 9×19(F) and 12×19(R) inch light alloy race wheels with central locking, and a bespoke Bilstein race suspension.

Eisenmann’s long-anticipated BMW 1M exhaust system has now been released and 1ADDICTS member biglare’s 1M is the first lucky 1M to make use of the Eisenmann Race downpipe back system. Shortly after landing in IND’s warehouse, the 1M exhaust prototype box made it’s way to San Diego, the exhaust system made it’s way out of the box and finally Eisenmann’s 83mm tips made their way under biglare’s 1M’s beautiful rear valence. Advanced Performance Parts (APP) joins the bevy of tuners having a crack at tuning the BMW 1M coupe. At the heart of the tuning package is an ECU software tune, larger intercooler and lightweight titanium exhaust, combining to produce an estimated 410hp (up from the standard 340 hp). The titanium exhaust also shaves 50% off the weight of the factory exhausts.
Handling is enhanced with KW V3 coilovers with DDC, which can be controlled via an iPhone app! Stopping power is increased with a set of Movit Cer Ceramic brakes system featuring six pot front and four pot rear calipers.
