Chris Neville, host on SPEED’s broadcast of the 24 Hours at Daytona Grand-Am Rolex race, got some track time behind the 1M coupe at Daytona International Speedway. BMW recently launched its X3 Customer Production Video Portal which gives access to the creation of each customer’s custom-made BMW X3 vehicles via an online video portal that will show them footage of their customized X3 being produced at the company’s plant in Spartanburg, SC. Here is what it looks like, from the production of an Xbimmer member’s X3 xDrive28i.
The video is a mix of interesting background video into BMW’s X3 production process, as well as actual footage of the customer’s specific car (identified by its VIN number).
