The M235i / 2 Series is due soon and while we wait, it’s undergoing some final performance testing on the Nurburgring, where it’s said by BMW to be able to beat the 1M Coupe.
Klaus Froehlich, Senior Vice President Brand and Product Strategies at BMW recently revealed these little tidbits:

The £100,000 BMW i8 is a plug-in performance hybrid due to be revealed at the 2013 Frankfurt show in September but evo was invited to drive a pre-production i8 at a secret test track in France this month, six months before we get to drive the production version. The F80 M3 and F82 M4 will make their debuts within the next few months and BMW has built up the anticipation even more by way of this official teaser. We only see portions of the car’s mirror and hood (dome), but this is undoubtedly the upcoming F80 M3 or F82 M4 being teased.
The M4 Concept will debut very soon and the production M4 and M3 will hit showrooms in late Spring – early Summer of next year.

The Brabham BT52 was a Formula One car designed for the Brabham team by longtime Brabham designer Gordon Murray for the 1983 season. The car ran on Michelin tyres and was powered by the massively powerful BMW M12/13 turbocharged engine which in 1983 produced about 850 bhp (630 kW) in qualifying trim, detuned to around 640 bhp (480 kW) for the races proper.
