Lexus IS Chief Engineer admits that BMW is the one to beat.
Motor Trend magazine interviewed Junichi Furuyama, the new Chief Engineer of the Lexus IS about the new IS.

An F30POST member decided to have fun with some Youtube videos and have an unscientific look to see how the BMW Activehybrid 3 stacks up against other hybrids – the Activehybrid 5, the GS-450h, M35h.
The Activehybrid 3 appeared to corroborate BMW’s factory quoted performance numbers and beat out the AH5, GS-450h and M35h.
